Why RVers stay here
Sunset Campground is Bryce Canyon National Park's second campground in southern Utah, a short walk or drive from the same trailheads and rim overlooks as North Campground but slightly farther from the visitor center. It suits self-contained RVers and tent campers who want to sleep inside the park and do not mind a bit less tree cover, and it is our fallback recommendation when North is full because it is often perceived as the lesser option, which is only partly true.
The practical picture: 100 dry-camping sites with no hookups, $30 a night, open late April through October, and reservable through Recreation.gov in peak season, which tends to give it more availability than North. Size constraints are similar to North, so check your specific site. Cell coverage is the same weak-to-none story as elsewhere at Bryce. The trade-off is exposure: sites are a bit more open with less shade, but you are still steps from the same hoodoo views.
