Why RVers stay here
Key Largo Kampground & Marina is the largest private campground in the Upper Florida Keys, sitting at mile marker 101.5 in Key Largo on Florida Bay, the calm side of the island. It is one of the more family-friendly options in the Keys, with a boat ramp, tiki bar, marina and enough amenities to keep a group parked for a week without getting restless. It suits families and boaters who want full hookups and marina access as a base camp at the top of the Keys.
The practical picture: 172 sites in a mix of waterfront, pull-through and standard, all with full 30/50-amp hookups, water and sewer, and rigs up to 45 feet on the pull-throughs. Rates run $95 to $175 a night with a waterfront premium, and amenities include a pool, marina, boat ramp, kayak rentals, laundry and a camp store; dogs are allowed on select sites. Booking is direct with the park and opens 12 months ahead for winter, and for January and February our guide suggests calling in March of the prior year. The trade-off is that the standard interior sites feel like a regular RV park at Keys prices; the bayfront sites at sunset are the reason to pay up.
