Why RVers stay here
Jolly Roger RV Resort is a private RV park at mile marker 59 on Grassy Key near Marathon, Florida, in the Middle Keys. Marathon is the practical hub of this stretch, with grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants, a hospital and the most services between Key Largo and Key West, and Jolly Roger works as the full-hookup base for handling logistics between state-park stays. It sits on the oceanside with its own small beach and boat dock, and it suits RVers who want a functional Marathon location more than a polished resort.
The practical picture: 170 sites with full 30/50-amp hookups, rigs up to 45 feet, and rates of $90 to $165 a night, which is Keys pricing but on the lower side for the region. Amenities include a pool, boat dock, marina and fishing pier. Booking is direct with the park, and our guide recommends reserving six or more months ahead for winter. The honest caveat is in the name: despite being called a resort, this is a working RV park, and full hookups and location are what you are paying for. Our Middle Keys strategy is Bahia Honda if you can get it, Long Key as backup, and Marathon for supplies and hookups in between.
